SICA Cotton Testing Lab

Testing cotton fibre properties at its HVI lab. Our specialties are:-

100% neutral and unbiased testing results
Confidentiality of test reports
Accurate testing services with calibration and conditioning of cotton fibres
Participate in efficiency testing with other reputed laboratories

High Volume Instrument [HVI] is working satisfactorily. As per new regulations we started charging  10.30% Service Tax on Cotton Testing charges. We have also participated in Round Test conducted by CIRCOT Mumbai and Faser Institute, Bremen and our Test results are in the commendable category i.e., within the permissible tolerance range.

Traditional Method Testing

Trash - Testing is done with shirley trash analyser measuring the trash content by weight from a cotton sample.
This is a most suitable method of knowing exact trash content.
Maturity - Testing is done in mycroscopic method by applying caustic soda solutions.
Sending samples to SICA laboratory.
Samples for testing can be sent by person, courier to the SICA Laboratory a weight of 250 grams (or) more cotton lint per sample is sufficient for HVI testing and 500 grams (or) more of cotton lint for all tests including trash and maturity.
All samples are conditioned in order to achieve the required moisture level. The results can be known by Phone, Fax , Post, Courier and E-mail.
